Schnitzel is one of the most famous dishes in Austrian cuisine and very popular in Central Europe. Its full name is Wiener Schnitzel, which in German means Viennese-style cutlet. It has many names depending on where it’s prepared, but with very slight differences: milanesas in Latin American countries; cotoletta alla milanese in Italy; the delicious cachopo in Asturias, Spain, etc.
